Bus Lanes to be Removed Starting September 7

The bus lanes along MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) will be removed starting Monday, September 7, 2026. The bus lanes were set up to accommodate Metro shuttle buses during the Metro construction work at three Red Line stations, including Bethesda. That work is scheduled to end on September 6, 2026. The Bethesda station should be open with trains running on September 7, 2026. Please check Metro's website for details. Bus lane information is posted on the State Highway website.
