Rules
- The Walk & Ride Challenge will run from September 6 - 24, 2010.
- Participants should only log steps that have been taken Monday - Friday of each week. Weekends will not count. Participants will have until 10:00 a.m. on Monday to log their steps from the previous week .
- Companies that participate in the MD Commuter Tax Credit and those that have met with NBTC staff to discuss the program will receive a discounted registration rate for their team(s).
- Companies that have not yet signed-up for the Maryland Commuter Tax Credit program, but would like to receive the discounted registration rate for their team(s) must schedule a meeting with NBTC staff by August 27, 2010. Companies are not required to sign up for the program to receive the discounted registration rate.
- All team members must be employed by a company or organization located in North Bethesda*.
- Teams consist of a minimum of three (3) and maximum of five (5) members. Teams may sign-up with fewer than three members, but will not be eligible for the team prize if they have fewer than three members.
- Teams may consist of individuals from a single company or you can pair up with friends who work at other firms, but all team members must work in North Bethesda*.
- The winning team will be determined by averaging the total number of steps taken by the team.
- Each week, participants who walk more than 50,000 steps will be entered into a drawing to win a prize.
- The grand prize winning team will be announced by October 31, 2010. Prizes are subject to change without notice.
- Winners agree to allow NBTC, NBTMD, and TAP to use their photograph(s) to promote alternative forms of transportation and future events.
